High-power LED's: the future of lighting effects!

but... how will you use them? where can you buy them?

1-watt and 3-watt energy LED's are now acquireable into the $3 to $5 range, thus I've been taking care of a lot of tasks recently that use all of them. in the process it had been bugging me personally that the just options anyone talks about for driving the LED's are: (1) a resistor, or (2) a truly expensive electric gizmo. since the LED's price $3, it feels wrong to-be spending $20 the product to-drive them!

Therefore I returned to my "Analog Circuits 101" book, and figured out several simple circuits for operating energy LED's that just cost $1 or $2.

This instructable provides you with a blow-by-blow of all different types of circuits for running Big LED's, sets from resistors to changing supplies, with some tips about them all, and undoubtedly will give much information to my brand-new simple energy LED motorist circuits and when/how to use all of them (and I also've got 3 other instructables so far that use these circuits). Several of these details ultimately ends up being pretty helpful for tiny LED's too
